Juventus Football Club is among the most famous and well-loved football clubs in the world.
The Turin club boasts the largest number of fans out of all the Italian teams, its digital fanbase has over 80 million fans on different channels. The undisputed king of digital platforms, in recent years the company has launched a series of initiatives with the aim of increasing its social media engagement.
The collaboration with Frankhood was born from the club's need to interact effectively with its fans by using the digital ecosystem as a bridge for direct connection with its fan base.
itstime.juventus.com is a web-based application, launched in April 2017, aimed at Juventus fans wanting to support the team in their quarter-final match in the Champions League, the highest European competition for a club. The application model allows each fan to take a selfie or upload their own photograph which is processed by the system, equipped with an innovative facial recognition technology, and edited, digitally coloring the user's face with two black and white stripes. The edited image can be downloaded and shared on social media using the hashtag #itstime.

The initiative leverages user-generated content to multiply the emotional impact, strengthening the sense of belonging that binds the fan to the club, generating more than 1 million shares.
Thanks to the viral nature of the app, the club was able to amplify the message behind the campaign: the fans are the center of the Juventus world and can proudly become part of the history, values, and challenges of their team.
